In 1949, Short's Sales & Service opened in a small one-car garage. Over 70 years later, Short's Marine is the largest boat dealership on the DelMarVa Penninsula.
Always 300 boats and PWC's for sale and on display. More than a dozen top brands, including: Bayliner, Bennington, Sun Tracker, Mako, Tahoe, Sea-Doo & Yamaha personal watercraft as well as Mercury, Evinrude, Yamaha, Johnson, Tohatsu, Suzuki, Honda Marine Engines.
Short's Marine is committed to going the extra mile for you! We perform a complete in-water demo to get you oriented with your new boat. You'll be assured that your boat is in perfect operating condition before you leave the dealership. Our commitment to our customers continues long after the sale. We understand the importance of service, so we've built the largest parts and service facility in the area. We stock more than 60,000 different parts and accessories.
Our History...
Short's Sale & Service opened four years after World War II in 1949. Located in a small one-car garage in Oak Orchard, Delaware it was the "go to shop" for everything marine related. As the years rolled on, it earned a solid reputation for being one of the best.
Today, four generations and over 70 years later, Short's Marine, Inc. continues to operate under the mission of being the "go to shop" for everything marine related. Our reputation has been confirmed in recent years by Boating Industry Magazine who has named us as one of the Top 100 Boat Dealers in the United States. We have earned the recognition every year that the award has existed. It is an accomplishment that we are very proud of because it takes everybody in our company to make it happen each year.

Short's Marine has ten factory certified technicians and six Master Technicians to work on your boat. They have over 200 years of combined experience in the marine industry. And, with over 60,000 parts in stock, a full custom canvas department, and one of the largest dry storage facilities on Delmarva, we can easily take care of all your service needs.
